In the right at the foot of the slope flows the Tedo River. The wild and granite look of the landscape in the entrance of Pinheiros becomes somehow milder. The housing is sheltered in the mountain, facing south.

A slender market cross is placed in the central square. The churchyard is surrounded by beautiful squared stone houses. The Mother Church itself is made of squared stones. The date - 1719 is inscribed in the main porch and reminds of the important reedification works, maybe the ones of the clock tower.



 

The main altar presents with baroque cuts (18th century) and preserves a beautiful image of Nossa Senhora with the child. The ceiling of the chancel exhibits 20 big boxes painted with figures of saints. Stª Eufémia is the patron. In Pinheiros there is a rupestral sanctuary called Cabeço das Pombas, which is a granite outcrop where several pre-historical engravings related to religious symbols can be found.
 

In Carrazedo, we can have a look at the Nosso Senhor do Calvário Chapel and at a niche with a Sr. dos Aflitos painted in a wooden cross. Every year the people of Carrazedo carry the cross in procession through a path of 600 meters to the heart of the village where the church is placed. In the place of Torrinha there is still the Nossa Senhora da Conceição Chapel, whose construction dates back to the year of 1679.
